rearend?

Default rearend?

I have a 1983 5.0 mustang and and wondering if i should go with the 410 or 373 rearend converion also were can i find the gears and the install kitt?

I would go with 410's dont fear the gear

if you plan to make any kind of good power you need to toss the 7.5" rear and upgrade to the 8.8" rear end found in later foxbody cars.

Thanx for the help that website is a realy good one by the way. Oh and by the way I actualy traded my mustang for a 92 Gt so do i need to worry about the 8.8 rear end do I? Or is that one of those things that should be replaced ny somethin better than Oem

No the rear end housing is great you ave a 8.8" rear allready. Only upogrades needed would be axles,posi,rear end girdle. BUt only if you use sticky tires.

3:73's will be more than enough on a 92 GT.

Thanks for the insight about the gearing but my main concern with a 4:10 gear is is it simply to low i mean im building this car for the 1/8 and some red light to red light use on the street pretty much so i was kinda leaning toward the 3:73 neway thanx oh and by the way whats gay?

well gay or not... j/k but yea is the gear switch pretty easy as far as recalibrating of the speedo so that its accuarate i mean i saw a box that looks like it plugs into something so i mean is it just a plug and play calibration or is it a manual one? and if it is manualy done some pointers would be great
