Default Mods that will actually help..

ok, i was wondering what mods would actually help. i have a 2001 V6 auto. i know im getting dual exhaust and 4.10 gears and a C.A.I. would i need a SCT tuner for the gears? would a t-lock also help? i'd need new bearings when i get the 4.10's installed. a throttle body n spacer wouldnt help any would it? what about lowering springs? i wanted them anyway but still. any other suggestions?

well for now i just want to get my mustang looking good so for now i'm just gonna do exterior stuff and the exhaust. here's my list right of now-
- MAC catback + H-pipe
- Black billet fuel door
- Tailight smoked Tinting
- Grill Delete Kit
- A few Emblems.
- Hoodpins(2)
- Stalker Side Scoops
- 3rd brake light decal (says "mustang" )
- Black 8" shorty antenna
- Black Reflective Bumper Inserts
- GT Rear bumper
- Saleen SideSkirts
- Hypercoated Bullit Rims
- Stage 3 Roush Front Bumper w/ foglights (Get some smoked tinting for the foglights)
- Smoked Headlights
- Rear window louvers
- C-pillars
- Lowering springs
- More interrior stuff.
and paint the hooodpins, my spoiler, and exhaust tips black. By the way, my Car is Yellow. i was thinking of putting some stripes on it too but not sure on that yet. i was thinking the 2 8" stipes then the 1/4" stripes on the outside of them(if you know what i'm talking about)
i'll do perf. mods later.

To each his own...it's not the route I'd go but hey...everyone has a different taste and style...good luck with whatever route you choose.

PS...since it's a v6...wouldn't you be looking for a Y pipe???

- Put all the money listed above into a s/c

Lol... just kidding. but really, take all the money that you are going to put into the mostely useless things listed above and buy a s/c. Your car already looks good... its a mustang. Just fix what it needs... SPEED. It doesnt really matter how good a car looks if it cant back it up with the power. Thoses things above would be nice but first i would work on the engine.

But hey, its your car so just do whatever makes you happy.... thats all that really matters.

dont get the throttle body and spacer its not going to make that much power for the money. and you going to need a tuner when you get the gears.

H pipe is useless on a v6 Go with a X pipe... H is quieter but cuts down on the power...I have had the H on mine and I have more complements on the X pipe... the one i have is from Pypes

X pipes are raspy and sound bad if you ask me. the H has a deeper and more American sound.

x pipes are the worst on a sixer.. a V6 is an even firing engine why would you want an X pipe then. Not sure how they sound but it makes more sense on an 8

It's really just a choice between power and sound...I chose power...it's only a loss of like 2 hp anyways...and that's on a V8

they do a little but your still not going to get the v8 sound from adding pipes I have considered going back to H just because its a little quieter. which I doubt helps it any from dumping it before the rear axles
