but more than just mods, its also about people getting good advice in other things as well. power is great and fun and so is spending money. but, when your 16 you know everything, you drive awesome and your superman all rolled into one. it takes an event to happen close to home to realize your not all of these thing because you are 16. others and myself said, save your cash up which is the best advice. put it wisely towards something, dont blow it. when your 16 you really not know what and "o ****" moment is until its too late. I still stand behind: young driver + lots 'o power = higher insurance rates for the rest of us.

I did use a an example, maybe not the best, put it got the point across. its his mony and he can whatever he wants with it, besides he dont care for what we are saying unless its what he wants to hear. which brings me to my final point....opions are just like ********....everyones got one...

Certainly, i guess myself being so close to this 16 age (im 20, only 4 years older) and the fact that i bought my mustang when i JUST turned 18, and have been modding it heavly since. I get a little bent out of shape when people pull the "your young you dont know what your doing" card. I try to base maturaty on Maturaty, rather then Maturity on age. While i understand that knowlage comes with age, i also know there are pleanty of people well over 16 that i would rather not have behind the wheel of a 300+whp car

and I've been driving big hp cars since I was 10... still didn't make a damn bit of difference once I got my own car to destroy. I wrecked it at 16 like everyone else is likely to do.

I don't want to talk down to you but try to understand, almost all of us have nearly 10 years on you (some like me a good bit more)... and we're trying to help you make good choices that you'd thank us for later but, yes we're fooling ourselves if we think for a second that you'll listen. You'll make your own mistakes and learn from them just like we did and then when you're 30 you'll tell 16yo kids to chill out till after they're 18 or 21 or 25 or whatever age is popular then.

I don't doubt that you as an individual are capable of being and acting mature; hell we all were capable of that at 16... the issue is, are you able to do that when you're sloppy drunk and mega stoned and bonzin' around BFE with your buddies? When I was in school there was nobody cool enough to resist peer pressure 100% of the time and nobody even approaching mature enough to make the good choices all the time. If there were I wouldn't have spent nearly as many nights in the back seat of police cars watching the cops tell my mom exactly what I had been doing, to whom, or with what kitchen utensils.

either: you think I'm kidding, which would be pretty funny on its own... or you're sure I'm not (the actual case)... in which case you'd be wondering what about some pretty bizarre things. Let's just say she was a SLLLLLLLUT.

I try. Some day I'll regail you with some of the more dubious experiences of my well misspent youth. If I knew then what I know now... I'd certainly be in prison for life.
