Question SPEC Clutches w/ 3.8L.

Hello all, I have a question that may or may not be answered easily..

I recently, yesterday, had a SPEC stage 3 clutch installed in my 98 mustang (3.8L) I was curious to those of you who have the stage 3, is it very easy to push the pedal down to the floor? When I ordered this clutch, I expected a nice firm pedal with a little bit of weight.. Is this correct? Has everyone experienced the same thing, or is it an installation error?? :foot:

Thanks,
Evan W.

My problem is that it is WAY to soft. It almost feels like there's nothing there, like pushing paper.. :wallbash: Is there any way to actually adjust the clutch since Ford put the stupid 'auto adjusting quadrent gear' assembly in the Mustangs? Could the quadrent gear have anything to do with the stiffness of the clutch itself? Im so lost on this one..... :helpsmili

Yes, we pulled the pedal up and pushed it all the way back and it still feels way sloppy and just too easy to push. I really am lost on this.. I don't know what else to do, because I feel trapped without having any way to manually adjust the tension or pressure because of the Quadrent Gear, the last thing I want to do is burn this clutch up.. Way to much $$ just to throw away.. :wallbash:

I was taking a look at that yesterday.. Does it only adjust the cable tension, or does it adjust the tension along with the pedal weight? Also, how much of a pain is it to install?

Thanks again!
