here check out this thread...removing the headlight or the airfilter is not going to do anything for you...at least i don't think it will...i am sure some of the more experianced track guys can give you some advice but this thread is a start.

pull the air intake silencer (its the plastic peice that goes fromt he air box into the fender) pull the passenger side headlight will let cooler air get to the motor which will tend to give most cars about an extra mph or so. other then that free stuff would be to make the car lighter, remove back seat and spare tire and jack.

All you need to do is practice launching the car. Dont worry about all that removing the seats and headlight and all that kinda stuff...... The best thing you can do is to get a nice launch off the line and let her rip from there. Removing the headlight on a V6 N/A will do nothing. If you remove the entire air filter then you will be losing power. Just remove the silencer and thats about as good as your intake is going to get. You will have to remove the ENTIRE interior of the car before you see any performance gains. Its not worth it and it tears up the interior of your car. Leave it all in.

Just go out there and have some fun man. You can't go to the track in a V6 thinking that your going to beat alot of guys. You win some and you lose some. Just go out there drive it like ya stole it!

Traction control off, over-drive off... hold the brake and slowly, SLOWLY push down on the accelerator until your car isn't spinning tire but the brake can still hold back the power (around 1500 RPMS on mine), then when the go is given release the brake and drop the accelerator. If you have good tires it should keep you from spinning (mine do)... then kick the tires and light the fires =)

Yea just leave it off. It was ford's attempt to extract cool air from the fenderwell and make the intake quieter, but it does restrict airflow. Taking the silencer off will not increase intake temperatures.
