Hey everyone, I'm new here. I just bought a new 2004 Mustang yesterday. Its just the base coupe but it had some nice options and only had 50 miles on it....and since the model year is over Ford had some killer rebates on it. Anywho I just dropped $1050 on some rims that should be here in a week. I was stupid and didnt think if they would fit or not though. Anyway the tire size is 245/40/ZR18. I still have time to change the order to 17's, but I'd really like to get the 18's if they dont rub. So let me know if the tire size above for the 18's I bought will fit okay without rubbing.
Thanks! Mike |

A 245/40/18 tire is 25.7" in diameter whereas your stock 225/55/16s are also 25.7". As you can see, they are exactly the same height. However, depending on the size of those rims (width), those tires could be too narrow for them, especially for the rear rims if they're wider than the front.
