While were on a GM subject, what do guys think of the pontiac grand prix GTP. A friend of mine has one, it has the 3.8L supercharged engine, It's the same one as the newer monte carlo ss. Im not sure what he's running the the 1/4 mile though??

I raced a GTP back in july. It was 2 days after I got my new car. I had a BBK CAI and a flowmaster exhaust that the previous owner had. We were messing around for awhile but never got next to each other. They were in front of me most of the time, and I was like DAMN thats fast. This had some serious work to it tho, and it was loud! I think it had full exhasut and I'm sure it had CAI, also had 3 gauges on the A-pillar but not sure of what. Finally, like 3 miles up the road after messing around I pulled up next to them, no offense to the girls on the site, but there was one driving the GTP. Well anyways, we got at the light and was like you wanna go, and I said sure. We both had auto's and I SWEAR from 0-90mph I beat her by 2 feet, this was with a basically stock mustang GT. My gears were a little longer, meaning I would pull ahead when she switched into second, but then when I switched she pulled right back.

It was the best damn race I've ever had. Too bad it was on the street tho

yeah no kiddin about the 383. My buddy that I work with has a 383 stroker in his camaro, he's pushing 540 rwhp (not sure about torque but you can feel that it is isn't lacking). That thing is bad@$$. Recently busted a lifter and after the repairs he owes me a spin behind the wheel . I would almost trade my mustang for it (operative word there is ALMOST). I can't stand the bodystyling.

I feel ya on that one...I'm really partial to 'stangs since that's what I drive but any muscle car with a V8 rumble makes me happy. I made the mistake of messing with a WS6 once...that was fuggin ugly...

I got to see the local Grand Prix club at Gateway a few years back and they ran anywhere from high 13s to high 15s. One member that had a GTX ran a 14.4 spinning seriously off the line(no LSD in them that I know of). I believe it was the club president that had the baddest one. He was working on how to fitup a tranny from the fwd caddys because the stock tranny wouldnt take the abuse. I think he had well over 300hp. He flew past a friends impala at about 155mph on the highway.

The only color on them that i like the anniversary edition SS. The red with the checkard stripes. With the SLP package, they're pretty damn powerfull. Love to have one, but hard to find. Plus i'm poor

My friends car is pretty quick, but it seems like the option of mods are limited unless you fork out some serious cash. Also, his tranny went out on him as well. He also seems to always be having some kind of problem with the car. How about those WS6's what do they run in the 1/4 mile?
