The other day after work my buddy with a 2000 SS LS1, slp exhaust and some slight intake mods decided to line em up. Both cars are standard so I thought it would be pretty even but I was wrong. I soon as I hit the end of 2nd and shifted to 3rd it was over. We raced about 3 times from the move, 50
and 2, 65 miles per hour drops. All was the same my Cobra in front, the SS smelling the BP93. I'll be racing a 2000 vette with a hot cam, custom tune and full exhaust next week. I think that one will be a little closer unless I do a pulley swap. 2.81's are comin and a custom tune. Also raced a 68 Camero LS1, all he could see was a black streak and the sweet rore of the eaton. |

I ran with a Camaro SS at the track....He was bone stock, and I am bone stock....Lets just say....He left me in the dust.........They are fast cars, or I have a slow one!!!!!!!

One of my good friends has a 01 SS with SLP catback. I can't wait to get mine built to beat him so I can shut him the hell up!

Got some minor intake mods, slp long tubes, slp x-pipe, slp cats, and the worthless dynomax exhaust. Its an 03 10 Ann, addition convertible. Got pulleys, throttle body, different intake and custom dyno tune comin soon. Its all on hold just got married. Did a dyno run after I put on the headers got 412 rwhp.

hm...
03 cobra = s/c = 400+hp vs SS ls1... cobra wins? I am not the least bit surprised... 03 cobras are one of the fastest mustangs produced IMO... thats a nice car ya got yerself there... cant wait to hear ya say ya beat the vette:shifty: ![]() |

Cobras will absolutely OWN an LS1 Camaro..... I dont care what kind of BS cam he has in it or what.... A bolt on cobra will eat it up. LS1's are overrated sometimes. Yea they are a fast car but there not the monsters that everyone says untill they see some boost or spray.
