nope, not gonna' happen, wont work or fit on anything excecpt a DOHC. whatever you saw was either bullshit, photoshopped or a whole-lotta' green spent on something that didn't need it in the 1st place. now you can put a blower on your car, just not the one off a DOHC Cobra

I remember seeing something about that....it might be helpful to provide the link so people can see it. Usually anything is possible with enough money and time, but post up the link so we can check it out.

well if it is true, I think its as waste of time and money when you can buy s/c kits made for v6's. just sounds like someone has to-much free time on thier hands or its just an M90 off a T-bird/XR7 wth the factory blower, which is easy to-do but not a DOHC blower on a SOHC and as the thread was started and asked if he could do the Cobra blower on a GT (not a v6) and I still say IT IS NOT COST EFFICTIVE TO-DO ON A 2V and I still stand by my comment

I agree with Randy, big waste of money. You could do A LOT more with that money.

They're actually making great numbers and doing it at a price comparable and usually if not always cheaper then anything vortech or procharger has out for us sixer guys.

Just an FYI.

The V6 market has it's little tid bits most people don't know or care to know about us as a community. Kinda fun though, being apart of a sort of "cult" I guess you could call it.

It's the M112 Eaton that most 99+ guys are going with.

Don't you think you should really look into something before making a comment or stating an opinion?

no I do not. I call it as I see it and if you read the original post carefully, you 'll see the original poster was asking if it was cost-effective to do a '03 Cobra blower on a GT and the ansewer is still NO

Topic is about Cobra blower on a GT. I guess he was asking if he could do it on the GT since someone did it on a V6.

Why dont you just buy a kit? That would be a lot easier then getting this thing together. Hell, you can get a Paxton Novi 2000 tuner kit for around 3k new. Find used ones for around 2k.

what are you going to-do for an intake manifold? section one off a Lightning?
where would you attach the blower belt idlers and tensioners? its not that easy, as Dan stated get a kit either Paxton/Vortech or KB

agreed, if you are looking for that Roots style blower just go with the KB it will be way easier and much more cost effective then trying to put the 03-04 on their.

I would go with the KB setup. For $5-6k it's a twin screw, innercooled system that's proven. I did my setup because there are no positive displacement setups for the splitport 6er, yet. I ended up spending under $3k and that included the dyno tune. It took me one winter to get everything designed, made, and purchased and one week to install and tune it. The best part of this project is the fact that I did it with my daily driver and it was only out of commission for the week of the install. I didn't have a mockup engine.

Ahem....Randy has about as much experience in his little finger as most of us have in our entire bodies. Not only is the guy been racing longer then most of you been shitting, but he is well known in the mustang racing community.

Does the guy know everything? Nope....still learning right Randy?

But, this is no easy swap. I suppose that if someone were getting these blowers for fee and had lots of time, then perhas the effort is worth the engineering challenge. But when you are old like me an Randy, we place a much higher value on our time.

Who knows, maybe someone is fabricating a "kit" for these things. One thing is for sure, there are a lot of these blowers sitting on shelves in guys garages because once you take them off a cobra, they are paper weights.
