start-up??

Default start-up??

when i start my car when its warm, sometimes its sounds like the starter stays engaged and sometimes doesnt start and i have to crank it over again? anybyd have an idea

Might have something wrong with the starter, or something electrical.

It sounds like the soleniod is sticking or the drive is hanging up in the ring gear. How many miles do you have on the starter? When this happens does the engine start but you have to turn it off to get the starter to stop? Try this, the next time this happens try to accelerate a little and see if this lets the starter disengage. This means that the drive is stuck in the teeth of the ring gear. If it doesn't then the soleniod tips are burnt and welding.

This needs to be taken care of quickly so you don't tear the teeth off of the ring gear.

i'm not sure how many miles are on the starter i just bought the car about a month ago...and once the car starts the starter stops. it doesnt do it everytime its warm.
