HPS is going to make the 5.4L specific intake.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'll be submitting some design work to bob for his consideration. Anyone here that's capable of taking a pen drawing and converting that to some electronic medium, please PM me. CAD guys.. I'm asking for your help here. This intake should clear the new edge hood no problem and probably Turd hoods too. Plenum space is giant and runners are going to shorten significantly and get a nice taper to stretch out the power band and increase tq. Anyone that's interested in the new intake, even if you don't plan on purchasing anytime soon (this whole exercise is meant to show there's market interest in order to keep the funding coming in for tool-up and production) please send an email to bob@hiperformancesolutions.com Discuss. |

and after all that hard work and porting that you put into the other intake! I bet thats a nice feeling! So what are you gonna do with it? Wanna sell me your ported intake before you buy the 5.4 specific one?

I thought it was ironic. Just finished porting and started painting it and bang. :P
I'll definitely be getting one of the 5.4L spec units and yeah.. I'll probably end up selling my ported intake, and yeah I'll put you on the list. The new intake is a little ways off yet though so I'll be using mine for the time being. |

About time they started to make one. Is the design based on your ported intake, just widened?

In many ways yes it is. Mine is a far cry from what he'll be able to pull off with a new casting. The 5.4 specific unit will waste mine on flow capacity per cylinder pulse.
