good exhaust for me
cars a 2002 gt that is completly stock, and i'd like to start with exhaust. I want something loud but not insanely loud. Going for tone more than loudness. I want something deep, mean and not raspy. Can someone point me in the right direction.

magnapacks, bassini, stingers, mac..they seem to be the best suited for what u want...dont get the LM1s...way too loud...especially w/ an aftermarket catted mid pipe....and im afraid to know what its like w/ an o/r pipe

if you want a deep tone chambered mufflers and an H-pipe are the only way to do that. MAC,FLOWMASTER,HOOKER all have good ones. but please odnt get flows and sound you will sound like every 80-90's chevy truck out there.

go to mustangexhaust.com they have tons of sound clips.
If you are wanting deep/tone over loud/raspy, go with either flows or magnapacks and a o/r H. H will give you deeper tone than an x.

do the install yourself..i think you can some exhaust clamps..then ull be good to go...also if u want it permanintly in there..go to an exhaust shop.i think ill be like another 50-100 bucks....if u cant affor the expensive Magnapacks the SLP LM2's are equivialnt...

when i had my flows with stock mid pipe it sounded deep and nice now with my O/R xpipe it sounds mean and deep and raspy and all in one ..you an change the tone with the diff rpms
i keep it around 2200-2600 for that raspy lash of the exhaust

I have the magnapacks on my 98 GT and had Borla Stingers on my old 04 GT, imo both are not good candidates if you do not want rasp, especially borla. I love them both but they are very rough sounding not smooth and low rumble like a prochamber and flows or macs.
Imo for what you want I would suggest a catted pro chamber and either flowmaster cat back or weld in mufflers
