Default JBA Shorties...or...BBK shorties..

Welp. I have a MAC Catted H-pipe, And a flowmaster cat back....Now I just needs a pair of headers to complete my exhaust setup. Which would you go with? I see that the JBA Shorty headers are MORE expensive than BBK. Which should I go with? which one has the better HP gains???? Which one just sounds more aggresssive? im stuck

both are gonna sound the same....BBK ceramic coated get my vote. you'll need to make sure they will bolt up to your Mac H pipe though. Call or email the companies and tell them your situation....if you want the best gain though, go with LT headers and only get BBK ceramics as they are the best IMO.

no gains of any value from shorties. I prefer JBA headers or FRPP headers whenever I do shorties. FRPP are 50 state legal but that may not matter in your state.

If you want gains, long tubes are the only way (or Bassani Mid-Lengths which are basically longtubes minus 2 inches of pipe and I've seen them bring nice size gains)

My brother has JBA shorties on his KB'ed GT, and he recently got a large crack in it... before the tubes meet... not sure if that **** just happens or if it says anything for JBA build quality but thats after 50k miles. (they have been on the car since it was originally purchased from the dealership)
He just bought a replacement for it.

don't get shorties. Even MAttJ who is a self-proclaimed God at mustangs says they're crap.

Don't get them

got dyno numbers or are you using the Levi's dyno? Define significant, like exactly what were your gains on tq and hp. The reason I ask is, at least a couple of us in here have seen more than our fair share of before and after dyno data to validate our opinion.
