Welp. I have a MAC Catted H-pipe, And a flowmaster cat back....Now I just needs a pair of headers to complete my exhaust setup. Which would you go with? I see that the JBA Shorty headers are MORE expensive than BBK. Which should I go with? which one has the better HP gains???? Which one just sounds more aggresssive? im stuck

both are gonna sound the same....BBK ceramic coated get my vote. you'll need to make sure they will bolt up to your Mac H pipe though. Call or email the companies and tell them your situation....if you want the best gain though, go with LT headers and only get BBK ceramics as they are the best IMO.

no gains of any value from shorties. I prefer JBA headers or FRPP headers whenever I do shorties. FRPP are 50 state legal but that may not matter in your state.
If you want gains, long tubes are the only way (or Bassani Mid-Lengths which are basically longtubes minus 2 inches of pipe and I've seen them bring nice size gains) |

My brother has JBA shorties on his KB'ed GT, and he recently got a large crack in it... before the tubes meet... not sure if that **** just happens or if it says anything for JBA build quality but thats after 50k miles. (they have been on the car since it was originally purchased from the dealership)
He just bought a replacement for it.

don't get shorties. Even MAttJ who is a self-proclaimed God at mustangs says they're crap.
Don't get them |

.........well i dont know why everyone is bashing the BBK shorties.....i just recently had them installed on my 98 gt and they FREAKIN ROCK!!!!!!!!!
the were a pain in the ass to get in and fit but i have had SIGNIFFICANT torque and hp gains.....so as far as i am concerned everyone here is talkin out of their ass.....ill take pics tomorrow to prove i got em......deffinantly worth the money..........my car pulls much harder now in first and second not to mention 3rd and i am gone.......so anyways....either listen to everyone elses thoughts, take mine into perspective or get long tubes.....but i am tellin you MY CAR.....has changed drastically....i can easily outrun my best friends 350 malibu now...... |

Yes, ive got bbk shorties and they are garbage. Quality of BBK is garbage, gains are garbage, install is garbage. Ive also got chrome which is garbage. Get longtubes or you are just selling yourself short.
