Now if you trade it into a dealership, then yes, they will rape you even if you have a lot of modifications put into it.

excatly thats why i would never do that im very against it. this doesnt have to do with cars but my family is into powerboating and we just recently got a ne boat but traded in the old one. the old one was worth about 90,000 and the dealer gave us 60 and we saw it listed from on the net from the dealer for 100 its just nuts

keep the gt man. you already put alot of money into it. if you want something fast, buy a bike. i may be buying a bike in the next couple months after i get the fines and stuff taken car of. lol. specifically cbr600f4i's. cheap, and really good on gas and extremely fun.

do it...sell your stang and trade up to one you want...i just did the same thing. but trust me selling a car is not easy. i would return it to stock and sell your parts to get more money...

only a death wish if you f*ck around and not pay attention to what you are doing and what your surroundings are. yes, there are risks, but if you have your head screwed on right, then you wont have too many problems. lol

It all depends on a few things.
How much you advertise your car, where you advertise it, and who you target.
I started with and ad on MySpace. Targeting the younger people. Moved up to Craigslist, still has a majority of young kids. Had the car listed for a grand total of 3 weeks, sold for $5,000.
'98 V6 5Spd w/ 146,000mi.
I see people with New Edge GT's that have had them listed for months and had no hits, because all they do is slap a sign in the window and say 'hey, it's for sale'. If you market the car right, and target your 'customer' correctly I would see no reason why you couldn't get atleast $17-19k (avg. retail in my area).

i had mine on cars.com for a month...got a few hits off that...then put it on autotrader and within 2 weeks i had a buyer! i also got a few hits from taking it up to the local walmart parking lot with a sign on it.
after a month and a half i sold my 04 V6 with 27k miles for $12,000 and i bought it 2 years ago for $12,800 with 13k
