im on my way to look at a car....it took me about 2 hours to get to where its located and less than a block away i got pulled over by a highway patrol sittin on the side of the road. as soon as i seen the guy i checked my speed and the needle was a tick over 60 its a 50 miles per hour zone. i thought i would make it but no this dude pulled me over. he walked up told me why he pulled me over and he was just gonna give me a freindly warning to keep the speed close to 50 in that little town. than he asked for insurance and registration, well my tags are expired. i told the guy i just got back from korea a week ago and been pretty busy and havent had time to go to a DMV to fix the tag problem. well he left came back he asked me to roll my window up and bam another fix it, then he looked at my front bumper and no front plate another fix it ticket. so after all that i talked to the guy for a bit and he was telling me his stories of chasing mustangs and camaro's down. he also asked if my car was a special kind of roush, i said no its just a GT with a roush bumper on it. he was a nice guy just wasnt nice enough to let go without a write up. i showed him the blower and he asked how fast have i taken it. i told i pegged it at 150 and let the rpms raise till i let off while i was going through the mojave. who knows how fast i was going. i talked to this guy for about 20 minutes.... so now i have to put a plate on my bumper, had to anyways for german tags, remove my tint had to do it anyways german regs says no tint. o well live and learn....

i just did 160 racing an m3 down i-25. i passed a state trooper LOL..his ass didnt even have time to react..

(yeah i know 160 on public roads undafe blah blah...it was 3 a.m. and no one was out and i had no passengers)


and uh yeah man..coulda been worse..sounds like ya got off easy

i noticed that....i did near 140 most of the way from new york to florida off and on and every time i passed a trooper at 140 or so ...he didnt even bother...it was when i did 65-70 that i got pulled over...theres a lesson in this somewhere folks

well i pegged at 140, had the needle bouncin...and took it 3,500 rpms further...so i'm guestimating 160...it couldve been anywhere from 145-165

Oh...why didn't you say that...back in 1990, I took my Mustang GT out on the Turnpike and pegged my 85 miles per hour needle, guess I was hittin at least one fity.

The theoretical top speed of your car is only 145. And isn't your final drive ratio around 3.70? So lets see you hit 145 with 3,500 rpm's left on the tach before redline...with an estimated 3.70 gear (i know your AWD)....

I had my speedo pegged at 150 for awhile at 5,000 rpms with 4.10's and my car will easily rev to 6500-7000 rpm, who knows how fast i was going looked it up on a gear calc and it said 169. with a top speed of 189.
