So the new nintendo is pretty badass, anyone else have one? I really like the tennis and golf games it comes with. the golf game isn't real in-depth, you only choose between putter, wedge, iron, and driver, But tiger woods just came out and i am planning on picking that up in the next week or so. the wii remote works perfect for a golf game, it makes it very realistic. Also none of my friends have one (because they are all broke bums) so i don't have anyone on there. and need to add some people. my wii number is 1157 2643 5534 8436 if anyone wants to add me. What's your guys number?

Thats why it's being outsold by the wii almost 3 to 1 right?
And Pcola don't you have to pay a yearly fee to use Xbox live?
I'm not trying to bash any system cause they all do the same thing i just wanted to see if anyone else on here had a Wii
Why does nobody on here EVER have anything positive to say?

Actually I think you have it the wrong way around... "I could own all of the other systems for what it costs to own a POS3!"
I would love to have a Wii, looks fun as hell! I just don't have the $$ right now..

PC is fun. I've played MMOs, but to get the full experience, you need to drop lots of money onto your PC. The 360 is neat too, but its not as interactive as the Wii, and more expensive.
So yes, Wii > the others. gg...now go fopad

The PC is really just out of the 'console' league. I have built my PC for under $900 and it is equivalent to a $1500+ Alienware.
The 360 Isn't in the same league as the Wii.. Quad processing power, incredible amount of memory, removable hard drive.. Awesome Games..
The Wii is fun, but I guarantee you that you will get bored with the games eventually, because they will all essentially be the same, plus the Nintendo has been aiming at the 15yrs old and under for years.
PoS3.. Not even going to go into it, they have features that will never be used, and set @ a price that will never do the system any good.
noobz R teh fvnnie.. rotflmongoose!..

I have all three and they are all awesome. Wii is more fun with multiple people imo but Xbox live rules the school for online play.
PS3 will get better as time goes and more games come out that use its capability to the fullest.
Right now Xbox 360 > PS3 and Wii is in a different category imo.

I enjoy the Wii, I wont buy many games for it though, just Wii sports it came with and Tiger Woods. Its not ideal imo for most traditional video games.
Just because you dont use some of the features dont mean other wont. Even at $599 its still alot of console for the $$. I use it as my DVD, CD and blue ray player in my home theatre. Seeing as how its cheaper than any other blu ray to me its a great value, and its full potential will be tapped eventually.

I like the fact you bring your post count into this discussion. But ill get to that in a moment.
You may of built your pc to compete with an alienware, but what does that have to do with anything? Its still you building something from spare parts, where a certified tech is building an Alienware with a warranty and accessories to boot. Let alone your 900 ghetto rigged PC is still a good 600 more then Wii.
360 may have more power, but power means nothing when compared to enjoyment of the games. Being interactive is what gaming is all about, and Wii has brought it to an all new level. If you want power, you should of bought a pos ps3.
And about your post count. You say newbs are funny, and ill agree. You call me a newb because I have 7 posts. I call you a newb because you have no idea what the hell your talking about.

Yup I have no Idea what Im talking about.. Im just a cert. Tech that has built all of my own PC's since I was about 15 years old. I don't need a warranty, if it breaks ill fix it.. Easy as that..
You are a noob that knows nothing about the community in which he is trying to communicate with. You know nothing about me, I have 3+ years of professional experience, and like I said have been building and maintaining
PC's for years.
You are comparing oranges to apples when you compare the Wii to a 360 or a POS3.
The Wii is made for and targeted @ the younger age bracket. This has been part of Nintendo's strategy for the last several years. What was the reason for that? To rebuild their customer base and bring the younger gen. up with their console so that they can market to them later in life. Now does that make it a bad console? No. But for many it makes gaming less challenging, because many of the games are targeted for young people.
Xbox 360. Targeted @ the mid - older gen. More processing power, better games, awesome online game play. Right now, whether you are a Nintendo ***-kisser or not, you have to recognize that Microsoft has got it all right. They have a mildly priced console, with plenty of power, great wireless technology, awesome DVD playback.. None of the consoles can beat the 360 right now.
POS3. Is it an awesome Machine? Heck yeah.. Is it worth the money? Right now, No. They have the same technology integrated into the PS3 controller as the Wii, but no games for it. What's the point? That is a main selling point for the system to compete with the Wii and motion technology yet they didn't release a game that uses it???
That is why right now, the bracket remains : 360 > Wii > PS3
Will that change in the future? Maybe, it really depends on Sony's capability to lower the price of their console and bring out quality games for it.
Can the Wii surpass either console? I personally don't think so, for our age bracket it will most likely do nothing but be an 'entertaining' console for a bunch of people to hit each other with their controllers.

When you say were comparing apples to oranges, your partially right. The systems themselves are very different. But thats my whole point, which you keep missing each time you post. The Wii may not be the strongest system, but its the most innovative, and interactive. Entertainment wise, the Wii is the strongest competitor in the console market as we speak by the simple fact theyve added a whole new element to gaming. Thats why you still cant find a Wii on a shelf in any electronics department (at least in my area). I can give 2 ***** as to who these consoles are targeted to (which a console might be targeted at a certin area, but the games will be made depending on the people who buy the consoles, of which the Wii has a much larger demographic this time around as any other nintendo console in awhile).
Im not a nintendo fanboi, but from what ive seen from both 360 and Wii, the wii has got it right, and microsoft and sony are using the same technique that consoles have used since the beginning of invention: better graphics, bigger console. Wii is starting into a new area that is just barely getting tapped into (Re: Guitar Hero, Duck hunt etc) with actually being able to do more then press the same 5 buttons over and over again.
I believe it will definitley change in the future, and Wii and consoles like Wii will become the future of gaming, and the 360 will be but a footnote. All this is personal preference of course...So I guess well just have to sit tight and see. And you need to get over the whole age bracket thing...after all, it is gaming...

Did I miss something?
Guitar hero is on PS2 and soon to be on 360... And as much as I love guitar hero, you still push the same buttons and engage the 'star power' the same way every time.
I will agree that the Wii is tapping into what the future will PROBABLY be, but it most certainly is not the future of gaming itself..
The 360 Came out, what A year before the PS3 or the Wii? Yet it is still competitive with both, and actually as far as most are concerned is a better console. I don't know if you remember, but the 360 was one of the most sought after consoles ever made.. There were people lined up outside of Circuit City before I even left work the night before the release. In-Fact we were sold out of the 360 for nearly two months after the initial release.
Im done arguing with you about this, it is going to come down to who likes what... In my opinion the 360 has the best setup right now, will it stay that way forever? No.. But Has Microsoft had more time to come up with new things? Oh yeah.. Nearly a year advantage.. We'll see what comes next.

Yes, your missed something. For the last...4 posts, actually.
I simply dont know why this is such a hard concept to grasp for you. You were sooo close!
Guitar Hero was a smash hit, yes? It still might be pressing the same buttons, but its also more to it then that. Being able to do more then just press buttons is what is so attractive to the Wii, and certain games for the 360 and PS. Yeah, the 360 is "competitive" with the Wii, but like I said in my previous post, I still cant find a Wii within 50 miles that I can purchase.
Its all about movement, the ability to shape the game not only to your strategic mind, but also with physical movement. Ever wonder when theyre going to come out with a Virtual Reality game? Well, theyve come a step closer. And thats why its the future.
Got it yet?

I think you are underestimating the appeal of the Wii. I think the Wii is much more likely to not only attact kids, but also gamers and even adults. Will it be a passing fad, maybe but by that time Nintendo will have sold alot of consoles. Im not saying it will sell more consoles over the next few years than the 360 because I doubt it will, but it also wouldnt suprise me if it did.

My place here? Yeah, good point.
I think I have found my place here, and its putting you in yours. That and any other person who thinks they can treat people with such a condescending attitude when its you in the first place who doesnt know how to grasp a simple concept when its displayed for them.
Cute picture, though. Im sure you spent a good 10 minutes looking for it because you couldnt think of anything intelligent to say. Speaks volumes for exactly how much your "veteran" status on the boards matters when you have something to say. Pathetic.

I have such a condescending attitude, yup that's right, im such an ***.. Dude, if you're getting butthurt by my comments (calling you a noob) you better get your flame suit on because my attitude is incredibly mild in comparison to most people on this forum.
As far as putting me in my place, I guess you feel like a big man for knowing so much about the Wii... But wait.. Do you even own a Wii? I get the distinct feeling that you don't, so why are you so in love with it? Nintendo should really feel special to have a person such as yourself to represent them!
God, NewbZ make me laugh!
