i got pulled over 2 weeks for not stoping at a stop sign for 5 seconds (i stopped for 3) but after he gave me a $40 bullshit ticket he stod right next to my car till i started it up, good things its not that loud even with the o/r h and long tubes, gota love nj cops!

I'm surprised I haven't been pulled over yet. I'm in Pleasanton and the cops here have absolutely nothing to do. Most of the other towns hate our cops because they get paid really well and don't have as much work to do. I've driven right next to a few and nothings happened. I guess I'm lucky. I can't believe though that the CHP got you of all people.

ha ha...no kidding huh. All of the Tri-Valley Cops are brutal.

I think the CHP are the most educated on modded cars and what's legal and what isn't. That is exactly why I went with a mild exhaust system with cats.....you gotta watch the fuzz in Cali!

For taking the ass reaming on smog controls, window tint and income tax we get 300 days of year of sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows everywhere. It's not a bad trade. Why don't you do us both a favor and stick some cats on that pipe? Saves the air we both breathe and saves you from a dickhead cop.

Yep! The Feds got smart and told Cali that if we exceed the federal air quality limits so many times a year they will yank our transportation funding! Hints the strong Cali laws...especially in the Bay.

And how can you guys drive around with an o/r mid pipe? The fumes alone are enough to kill some brain cells. And for what? So your car can be louder and just a bit faster. I'll take my comfort and clean air.

I figured if I'm going with LTs then I will get the matching midpipe which happened to be o/r. The smell doesnt bother me much, you dont really smell it unless you are just sitting there idling. I don't understand if emission laws are so strict, especially in Cali, then why don't the old muscle cars have to be smogged? Cause those things just pump out fresh purified air

Yes i pollute, but my drive to work everyday is about 6 miles roundtrip, so I figure its not that bad. Just dont drive behind me.
