i got pulled over lastnight and now i want a radar detector, it was kinda wierd, but not as bad as i thought it would be, it was the first time ive been pulled over and i was going 75 in a 30, and yeahhhhh however the cop got my liscence and alll that garbage called it in and cam back up to ym car and said "im sorry sir, have a great evening, thank you" i was surprised but dammmn

but now to my actualy question, i want a radar detector cause i dont ever want that happening again, not that i plan on going 75 in a 30 all the time its just sometimes im not always too cautious of the speed limits in my beastly v6 does anyone have a radar or would they happen to know of what kind, and where i could purchase one of good quality?

And did not get get a TICKET?? wtf, i mean im happy for you and all but dat sucks, ive never got a speeding ticket myself but i did get pulled and got a ticket for my exhaust, and i was asked if had any weapons or drugs in my car tho in some small town here in va! Bunch of country rednecks bastard cops!!! But some cops are cool tho, SOME... I would just look around, google it! We cant have em here in virginia! good luck

 

i was coming home from a car show and was going 35 in a 30 and there was a SUV talegating me so i sped up to 40 then the blue lights went on. The cop came to my window and was like "do you know why i pulled you over" i was like " speeding" he said " no for swerving over the double yellow line to many times" He made sure that i wasnt drunk or high which i wasnt and he said have a good night and sent me on my way. that was the only time i've been pulled over

yeah the cop apologized, no my dad isnt a big wig, i know a couple big judges in NY and other big people through baseball which is pretty much all i do and maybe that had something to do with it

I use to have the cobra model that had the voice commands! Sounded gay as fawk and it really didn't work that good! I knew the model i had had a retail price of like $200 bucks but a friend of mines had on his tahoe before and thought it was junk and said i could have it for free! 6 months laters some asswhipe decided they should tear my top and steal my radar! ....I paid $800 to get my top replaced!

If you get one, this is the one. BUT, dont use it as a crutch everytime you drive, or you will get nailed. They arent foolproof.

 

I have a valentine 1. I cant tell you how many times it saved me. Do some research on the local laser radar thats used in your area. If they all use laser, dont bother getting one because every single one on the market is useless despite what anyone tells you. Sheriffs and state troopers use laser here and thats on the highway and in the country.

1. You deserved a ticket for that one.

2. Valentine 1 or nothing if you must.

3. Radar detectors dont prevent you from getting tickets. Nor do they work 100% of the time. They only work if the cop is using radar/lazer. If he's pacing you to get your speed, forget it. If you're obviously speeding like that, forget it. The majority of them don't have a good enough range to really be effective either. The radar goes off meaning "you're busted" And having that detector on the dash generally means that the cop isnt going to let you go.

Next time, just slow down.

The V1 is so amazing...I wasted so much money on a POS rocky mountain radar detector/jammer that doesnt work for crap....when i switched...id have to say best 400 dollars ive EVER spent

I have a Escort Passport 8500 x50 and I love it, works really well also (got it cheap cuz I work at Best Buy).

 

lazer isnt that popular due to its cost, most here in florida only the FHP have laser and its easy to get aorund if you use a rabbit. akak having someone go fast infront of you a good 1/2 to 1/4 mile so they clock him not you. thats what i normaly do, and i dont ever speed when there is just me out there cause then i know i will get picked off.
