Default If you only do one mod...

Make it the sct xcal 2 and 4:10 combo. (I know its been said and said) I tested my 4:10's today, they pull, that's all you need to know. They aren't quite a dramatic as I thought they would be, but you definitely feel your back pressing harder against the seat. If I could hook the damn sumi's, I'd prolly feel more of their effect. This in combination with the shift point adjustment, the difference is amazing. It in no way feels like the same car it did 2 weeks ago. I'm not saying I can go run in the 13's now, but damn the car feels 2x as fast as stock. If you have an auto, skip the exhaust, intake, wheels, all that crap, and get this kit. That is all, -t

I really wish everyone would stop talking about 4:10's I dont want to talk myself into getting them. Because, I drive on the interstate way too much (don't want to run that constant of a high RPM, and gas mileage)! If everyone keeps talking about them like this, I'm not going to be able to resist getting them DAMMIT! :bash:

LoL drive slower on the highway...

I WANT I WANT... well if you gotta go with just one mod, wouldn't you want the mod with the highest yeilded power? So I guess on my V6 that'd be either Nitrous or some time of power adder, so i'd say TT, but that'll never happen LOL...

Damn, pick my statement apart-j/p. Gear and tuner kit = 1 mod to me. I should change mod to "non-power adder mod".

But I don't want to. I get home much quicker doing this on a daily basis:

(yes, my coolant light is on, my thermostat is going kaput)

That is a myth. Higher rpms does not equal more fuel. It is all about LOAD, not rpms. BTW, get 4.30's with your auto anyway. Stop crying about it and just get them. 4.10's are very highway worthy.

I drive mine every day with 4.30's. When I go race in NMRA events across the country I pull out the back seat and passenger seat. I then stuff in 2 slicks, 2 skinnies for the front, tools and more tools, a big cooler, lawn chairs, a duffle bag and beer. I drive at 70-75 miles per hour and get 23 mpg. I had 3.73's and they were better than the stock 3.27's but 4.30's are better

You drive like a damn woman! When are ya gonna get on that gas and hit some speed? LOL

I still havent found the speed governer, got up to 140. The speed governer on a mustang is harder to find than bigfoot!

good point. thats why higher gears give better mpg. less strain on the engine to reach a particular speed/rpm. now if you sit and cruise at 4 grand in the interstate, I'm sure itll burn gas quicker than sitting on 2, but just use your head

I want gears bad. It's not the gears than keep me away, it's the price of the tuner to go with it. I know you can go the SpeedCal route, but that's wasted $ compared to the tuner. Anyone want to sell me a SCT xcal II tuner really cheap?:helpsmili
