welll, tri-ax may be asier than stock, but you cant copare it to mgw til you try it. I wont go sayin tri-ax's suck but I've heard some of them give gear noise when shifting and whatnot. not the case with mine

Is there any way to tell what kind of shifter you have? Mine has a short throw on when I bought it, but I have looked it over and over and saw no name brand markings or anything? How do I know what kind I have?

I would say to take off the inner plastic console off(what holds the boot and cigarette lighter) and then unscrew the 4 bolts holding the inner boot in place. Once thats off, you should see the shifter and I'd imagine the brand's name is on it. If not, take a pic and let us see.

if the computer recognizes the camera just go to "My Computer" and double click on the camera. you should be able to get into the camera's drive from there and copy the pictures. you normally dont have to use the software that comes with the camera. what kind of camera is it btw?

Canon powershot A510. IT worked fine before I installed my sound card. Ever since then it's not, I reloaded the drivers and still no go. I'll see if my camera is still in my car and see if I can get it to work....
edit: OK, 1 problem solved. Went out and looked at my shifter again. Found the name, its a Pro. 5.0

if i had a pro 5.0 shifter in my car i would not spend more money to replace it with somthing new when it does the job. i have rowed alot of shifters and while the pro 5.0 is good i feel the mgw is better.
