if you have a good body on the lx. do a swap. as for aftermarket parts for a 4cyl mustang. get that idea outa your head. theyre slow as hell and i knew some1 that had one. doesnt that thing top out at like 80 or somethin?

for the swap....look around for a 351 windsor or cleveland motor. ur gunna also need new plumbing and a new rear end. the rear end will be an 8.8 that you need. and all the other stuf is obvious, like a new tranny and stuff. probably new suspension aswell...........unless you want to lower your car:P

You can either go w/ a V8 route or keep the 2.3. If you keep the four-banger, you have to do it like the SVO Mustang w/ a turbo since otherwise, it just won't be fun. As for the V8 swap, throw in whatever please you as long as it's a Ford. Everything from 302s-351s to Clevelands to 385s and Modulars fit no problem. You can even make an FE or 400 fit as well. Just pick one that fits you and your budget. Personally, I'd go w/ a 351C or 302/351 Clevor (Windsor block, Cleveland heads).

Yea, if the body is worth puttin around a motor, look into some of the crate motor options. There are a bunch to choose from. 347 Stroker is a good choice. The driveline will also have to be updated. Good Luck.

lol NO! crate motors are expensive, and all your gonna do on the street is spin your tires no matter how much throttle you giver. those buggers have a **** load of hp. stick with a 351 and just do that som beech up.
