Default Aftermarket headlights

I have the clear corner smoked headlights and the weather stripping that goes down the side of it is completely dryrotted. Has anyone elses done this? The strip was never as nice as the factory stripping, where the rubber seamed to be coated with something to make it shiny and slick. Is there anyway to replace this stripping without buying new headlights? Ive tried everything to prevent this and they still dryrotted

I have asked Randy on the board about buying that headlight wheather stripping, he said that it's not available seperate from the headlights. So you basicaly have to buy new headlights to get new black plastic stripping. Shame too, I'd buy atleast two pairs. I have had to cut stripping off old headlights with good wheather stripping and glue it on other headlights with rotted rubber. I was actually walking the the school parking lot yesterday and saw a mustang with perfect headlight wheather stripping, the lenses were perfect too, and thought, "I would, without-a-doubt buy thoes headlights if the owner offered them to me."

The headlights I have on my car right now have rubber from the headlights of a '99 mustang that I had the headlight from in the attic. My other set of headlights that have 50% tint on them have the rubber that comes from whoever makes the clear corner headlights and is starting to get bad with the rotting, cracking, ect. I hope the rubber wheather stripping will become available some day.
