Exclamation Quick question!!!

So my belt started squeaking a few days ago...somone suggested i try and add some belt spray to take care of the problem! I opted not to and decided to buy a new belt! My friend works at a ford house so he got me a motorcraft belt came over and even swapped it out for me! I asked him if he saw any problems with the pullies to which he said no! He said they were all fine and that all i really need was some belt lubricant but he did mention that the tensioner should be changed within the next 6 months or so but other than that everything was fine! So i drove it to school today..(30 miles) then drove to work (30 more miles) by the time i was about 2 miles away from work, i started hearing something eminating from my engine bay! Pulled over quick only to notice that half of the belt was gone, my pullies chewed it up! Got to work and called up my friend and asked him whats up! He said he had no clue and that everything he saw yesterday was fine! What could it be? I went to autozone to get me a gatorback belt and will be installing it when i get off work..but I'm a little worried! Any help would be appreciated!

Miguel

PS: Sorry for the long story...

Damn dude! That sucks! What are you gonna do! Hope you're able to fix it! It sounds like a serious problem! Maybe next time have someone with more experience replace the belt! Anyway like I said before! Good luck!
