i started to notice a almost burnt plastic smell that seems to happen when i am stopped. i dont see smoke out of any part of the car. I do notice it seems to heppen when i turn off the traction control could it be related any advice on where to look? another thing i thought might be the cause was my subs/stereo but they have been fine for over a year now
i have 02 gt auto convert

Do a visual inspection under your car, there may be a plastic bay stuck somewhere around the exhaust, this happen to me and it was a 33gallon trash bag.

 

I had a similiar problem with my 02 cept it was a sensor on the left side of the engine on top when your looking at the motor. It blew and burnt some of the insulation on the hood. and when we found it out there was a wad of plastic.
