You should be very happy with the MGW....I've been wanting to try the MGW, but for now the tri-ax works great.

The hardest part of the install is getting the old shifter off. They seal it pretty damn good from the factory. I installed my tri-ax on two different stangs and the first time it took a little muscle to pull off, but I finally got it.....my mach was a different story. I pulled on that thing like crazy and couldn't break the seal so I had to get under the car and take a screw driver and rubber mallot thing to break it loose. After that it's an easy install.

Good luck

I installed the tri ax on my brother in law's 98 GT and it was a PITA to get the old one off. Hopefully mine will be a little easier. Do any of you guys recomend getting those gaskets that they have for shifter installes or just you the stuff it comes with?

Thumbs up

Well the fed ex guy dropped of the shifter to day and i installed it in about 1/2 hour 45minutes and all i have to say is OMFG!!!!!!! MGW by far has made the best shifter!!!!!!! no reaching for gears it shifts like the car knows what gear you want to go into either up shifting or down shifting. I have installed other shifters and driven other stangs with the steeda and pro 5.0 and the MGW blows these out of the F'in water!!!!!!! I used the gasket from Cobra Bob http://www.stangshiftergaskets.com/ and it's the best ever, well worth the 5 bucks there is no noise from the tranny, it's just like stock!!!!! if you are thinking about getting a shifter there should be no thoughts about it MGW 100%
