Default 1st automatic

I was wondering if there is any special way to launching automatic's off the line at the dragstrip ?? also , it's an 04gt w/ x-pipe(o/r), cat-back , 70mm th. body , ported plenum , K&N filter , SCT XC2 , w/ stock gear's . what kind of time's should I expect in 1/4 mi. ?? what do stock auto run ?? anyone know ??

I just stomp on it from a idle. I have similar mods except TB/Plenum. Check my sig. Still runnin on original tires too.

thanks for the info punisher . I'm going to the track saturday . hopefully I can run a similar time . what's your 60ft. time ??

Whenever i race (havent tried this on the track) i put my foot on the brake and rev it to 1500rpm then let off the brake and stomp on the gas, my car with just borla catback ran a 14.1

yeah with cams and long tubes and all the other bolt ons... im suprised your not running better than mid 13's

been gettin 2.1xx 60's with a little wheel spin off the line. I think with new shoes I could get a 2.0xx...

Its better to launch off idle with the stock stall guys. With a higher stall you can launch off idle or put the car in 2nd and try the brake/ gas thing. I was running 13.5's with 17x9 black bullitts, DR's, Maximum Motorsports lca's, eibach pro kit, full exhaust, plenum, and t/b.

Last time I went to the track with those mods plus, 3500 stall, cams, draglites- skinnies/ ET streets and ran a 12.7. Again launching off idle.
