I the interest of sounding old, I'm going to have to agree. I tanked my '67 Stang into a tree and a ditch for nothing when I was 17. No insurance either. About $6,000 later it was back to show quality...but $6,000 took me a LONG time to come up with! Cops also managed to have a piss fit about it and ticketed the sh** out of me...but I fought the law and the law LOST!

Just respect the parts you get. If you respect the car, it will respect you. Even now for some of us that have been driving for awhile these cars can jump and bit you in the a**. I managed to get sideways in the rain when I first got my '03.

I'll agree with r3dn3ck on the exhaust and lowering, perhaps even a new rim and tire setup. As for saving the money...good luck on that one! I still tell myself that! Oh well, that's what credit cards are for!
