So as you can see its very clean looking ride. The problem is that it has 190k miles! So I got to talking to this guy and he claims that he just put "top of the line" gaskets with bbk headers. New plugs and just had a complete flush and a new radiator. Brand new alternater and battery.
He is asking 3.6k he said the lowest he can go is 2.6. But to be honest, 190k miles kills this sale in my opinion. But I am really not knowledgable about mustangs so really this guy was speaking a foreign language to me.
So what do you guys think?

It all depends on what you are willing to spend.
I personally would pass on this one and find one with fewer miles and pay more up front because other wise with 190k miles you will probably pay more in the long run.
when you get that high in mileage it could start to nickle and dime you to death unless you like working on cars then if the body is good you could potentually drop a lower mileage motor in it later and be fine but unless the suspension has been redone you are looking at lots of stuff wearing out.
You can get a 3.8 from those years for under a grand with lowish mileage

Good question. A very well maintained daily driven, with "small" mods here and there. (Custom sub box, headlights, lambo doors are a dream of mine, maybe air intake).
I just want to look and sound good on the road, maybe even join a Mustang club down here.

Wow please point me in the right direction!

oh..... To each his own I guess not my personal preferance
Find something with lower miles

That may not be a terrible car for your budget. Keep in mind though, you need money put away in case you run into problems. I had an 86' GT convertible (with small mods) that nickle and dimed me to death. I invested over 6 grand into that car without even touching the motor or transmission.

I helped my friend shop around for a V6 mustang, we found several early 2000 years for 3k with around 120k. I would pass on one with that many miles because you are going to end up spending way more than you want to. Especially if you are either not super mechanically inclined or don't have all of the tools to make repairs.

I didn't know that anyone even made headers for the 3.8's. I guess somewhere along the way some of these companies wised up and decided to make some.
JM2C, it sounds like you need something like a Honda.

Lol nice. I think lambo doors are cool, but I prolly would never invest that unless I won the lotterey. Anyways I found another ad that I found interesting, Im sure I can talk the guy down to maybe 3.1
it has 102k miles

I have no idea what the difference between a clear or a salvaged title is. So to answer most of you guys, no im not educated in vehicular repair. I can change oil, tires, and pump gas.

bbk shorties so pretty much they are just stock manifolds.
Mac makes real longtubes for them
For the 99-00 Not sure what was different in other years but according to macs website those are the only ones that they work for
you can get everything longtubes, offroad H-pipe, and cat back for about 800 shipped
so all in all not a bad deal
