Talking My Stang on Streetfire.net

Thought I would mess with the ricers this summer so I went to a SCCA AutoCross. This was just for fun and we all had a blast. Let me know what you guys think.

Yea, it really blows when you hit a cone because each one costs 2 seconds off your time. This type of racing is a absolute blast no matter how many cones you hit! The only performance mods to the Cobra are a UPR cold air intake and a SLP loudmouth catback. I've been trying to figure out what my next move should be for performance. Mabey a KB 2.2?

P.S.-Frito I love your Colts plate!!

Eh, Ive heard to go either way bout the extra power, some say the KB is a waste of 3300 or so bucks when you can just pulley/ported blower/nitrous it for a lot less and make just as much power. Definately get a new midpipe though.

Yea, thats the debate, still trying to decide what will be best for the engine in the long run. If it can handle the spray with the smaller blower pulley then I will probably go the cheaper route. I have always wanted a purge valve to spray out of the cobras mouth on the front fenders

Yea, to me, its just smarter to go with the ported eaton and spray, unless you have to have a KB. With the spray, the power is there when you need it, but a ported 03 cobra can handle just about anything it needs to (cept the exotics/06 zo6's)

The guy with the EVO paid the ticket for everyone that wanted to come and participate in the car show or autocross only asking for donations for Rileys Childrens Hospital. He is a doctor here locally and is a really good guy. The first time I saw Smoked Mustang on his car I asked if he was prepared to race He casually asked if I would like to go for a ride in his car first. Well of course I'm gonna try my best to size up the competition. I have never felt such well rounded power, cornering, and braking!!! Money is no object to the Dr. so he has upgraded with the best of everything. The car now runs on straight race fuel and nitto drag radials all around. After taking me for a ride I decided to wait for more power before getting smoked by a Mitsubishi. His time is coming. I need more boost
