Default 04 GT vs 05 GT Stock

Nice to watch a video with no mods every now and then. Think the 04 had an O/R pipe and maybe gears though. The comments are funny. Gadaaamit Just because you got an 05 GT doesn't mean your gonna kill an 04 GT. 3 valves vs 2 valves, weight difference, it's all good. The 04 sounded great too...

Right there, some of those comments are pretty good! One of them made me realize something though about this site, people on here don't hate every other car maker (well except maybe honda lol). But seriously people that stick to one maker and bend facts to make them sound better **** me off

Hahaha I know exactly what you mean. My roommate drives a hyundai and while he admits his car is a pos, all his friends are these massive hyundai fanatics. They talk so much crap about every other car manufacturer that it just makes me laugh.

I'll run anyone with that body style GT... lol... j/k.. I really thought that the S197 body style was faster... I'm aware of the weight difference but I didn't think it was enough to make a difference... Oh well... Nothing a blower can't handle.

If that GT had a CAI & tuner it probably would have gotten the new edge in those conditions. The guy in the new edge even bogged his car when he launched though, so who knows. I have never been beaten by an '05+ that didn't have nitrous or some kind of power adder other than Sheri the first time I ever drag raced the car and I was on crappy sumitomos in 40* weather... lol

I ran one pretty much every weekend last summer at the super speedway and I always put 3-5 lengths on him every time. He had CAI, Tuner, exhaust and a couple of other little things too.

Yea I plan on going to track for the first time real soon... Maybe in the next week or so but the only track they have here is a 1/8 mile... Should be fun still though.... Its a lot of bad *** new edges in the city the track is in... Maybe I'll learn a thing or 2.

1/8mi is a lot of fun, teaches you to shift if you've got a 5-spd because you have so little time to recover from a mistake. I honestly think that starting on an 1/8 can actually help your 1/4 because everything happens so much more quickly. I really think that it helped me a lot with my reaction times and 60'. When I first got my Hoosier DR's I was pulling 2.1 60' times and now I'm in the 1.8's on a regular basis and I know that I can get them down to 1.7's now that I've got my clutch figured out (new FRPP cable).

That said, if I had a 1/4 closer to me I would go much more now than before. I think the 1/4 is just more fun because you get into triple digit speeds. Just somthign about going over 100 mph that adds that little extra thrill I guess.

The gears and mid pipe help a lot on 2v no questions there. I mean **** I dropped almost 3 tenths in the 1/4 just from a mid pipe swap.

I would really like to get a 99-04 body style GT or Cobra.. I like them a lot and I like the fact that they are so light.
