Did the shop have any ideas on why it was cutting out?? Seems like a major problem, especially judging from the last run at the end of the video.

Guy at the shop said it was more than likely my PPRV and I've read into it and its a definitely possibility. I'm honestly thinking about switching to a sump tank and going with an external pump, since I have to work on the fuel system anyways. Might as well go big while it's convenient.

If you are going to do the fuel system I suggest switching to E85.

That's my plans.

Numbers are nice for what you got. The problem we both have is what's keeping the numbers low though. I might have to try the PPRV if they can't fix it once I get the dynotune.

Honestly man, there is really no real sure fire way to fix it other than buying a Fore Precision fuel hat that has the delete built in. If you just buy the $80 delete kit (which is way overpriced for what you get) you might still have problems with the hoses kinking. I saw a thread on SVTP where a bunch of people who had already had the kit had to drop the tank in access of 4 of 5 times to unkink a hose even with the PPRV delete kit.

Well, it'll all be getting thrown out for E85 anyways so spending $60-80 for it to temp fix the problem isn't that bad.

Once I have the money for a return E85 system then I won't have to worry about it.

I have the Fore Fuel hat and its a great piece but I think I am going to switch to a sump. The lines come out the front and it can make contact with the diff cover if you have something other than a stock one as thats what happened to me. He is a vid of the delete just in case you want to do it http://vimeo.com/2134128 . Dropping the tank is easy just need two people but can be done by one as I have done many times.

Yeah, I'm just trying to eliminate running 2 or 3 pumps later down the road. For what I want to do with my car later down the road, 3 pumps will be necessary. That means 2 extra things to go bad and worry about. I like the simplicity of the sump and external pump.

I don't know enough about the fuel aspect of it, but what's the disadvantage? I know they're loud but is there anything else?

I'm kind of new to it all but in the last few days I've learned alot. Aeromotive seems to be top of the line as far as pumps go and a few years back some people complained about the pump overheating while on long drives and they didn't recommend daily driving with an external pump. People with newer pumps haven't had any problems while DD'ing so Aeromotive must have fixed this problem. The only other disadvantage I can see to it is that the pump will be exposed to the elements and road debri.

I figured the getting hot part, as most internal fuel pumps will overheat if not submerged in fuel all the time anyways. Especially if running a BAP.

I think I'll stick to the triple hat w/ return. I don't want to hurt the ability of taking long-er drives. The '65 is already like that, don't need another one lol.
