Yeah... it's a shame that that's not even the most powerful one ever made. It's just the most powerful one tested (and an atmospheric test at that).

It's a little scarier when you consider that H-bombs are pussies when it comes to killing power. You want killing power try enhanced radiation (Neutron) bombs. 1/1000th the explosive force and 5 million times the killing power. ******* great!

No, it was a Hydrogen Bomb. They measure its force to TNT. That bomb measured 58 megatons of TNT

If you were to make a cube of TNT that had a mass of 50 million tons, it would spontaneously detonate somewhere at the base during the manufacture from the energy imparted by its own gravity pulling down on it.

Just be glad they tested it on their own soil... otherwise they might have used it in its original 100MT configuration. That would have hurt your ears on the other side of the planet. (Accdg to wikipedia 100MT would be about 1/2 the force of Krakatoa popping in 1883. That eruption caused the year without a summer.

I just looked that up on Wikipedia. Crazy ****. 200 megatons and could be heard 3,000 miles away. Ash shot up 50 miles in the air.
