So, last night I was the guest Track Announcer and saw some amazing shiat.

First, Big Daddy Don Garlits was on hand to do some burnouts in his ol' Swamp Rat.
Then, I watched Melinda Green, in a BRAND NEW GT500 Bodied Funny Car pull a .91 60ft time. She then smacked the wall and pancaked the right side.
Finally, I was on hand to witness a new track record.....3.84 seconds at 188 MPH in the 1/8.

Unfortunately, I dropped the ball with the pics and vids and only came up with this tidbit.

Still a great night though.

The whole deal sounds cool though!!! Where exactly is OBS? Might like to come by, spend much vacation time that way.

Going on vacation to the outer banks in October. Renting a beach house for the week. Prices for rentals are way down after summer is over with and the temps are still pretty warm in the daytime..
