Default The Bullrun through the streets of Detroit

Ride along in a Corvette ZO6 as it follows a Ford GT at a high rate of speed through traffic in downtown Detroit, on westbound I-94:

They are both ididots doing 140+ on the highway in traffic, but they are both bad *** cars.

Fords Supercar > GMs supercar

That Ford GT will embarrass the z06. That highway is heading towards my house! hehe

If you are looking at any of those cars, im sure money isnt really a problem. You arent going to buy a 2006 z06 or a 2005+ Ford GT if you can barely sqeeze out the payments. Besides the z06 is lighter with 30% more engine.

And the GT needs a blower to put out that power, whats your point. My point is the Z06 having nearly the same performance at 65K as a GT at 160K. No question the GT is a more "exotic" type car, but its not much better performance wise out of the box than the Z06 which like I said is way less than half the price. GM>Ford in this instance, and yes there are people who could afford 65K but not 160K for a toy car.

in basic runs it will. that z06 will get raped 7 ways from sunday in any kind of top end run. the z06 isnt in the 200mph club, but the ford GT is. Ford put a blower on it because its a 5.4l modular engine. Modular engines put out astounding numbers with boost compared to a pushrod that wont in most cases. that z06 comes with a 7.0l v8.

You said the vette engine is 30% bigger, which it is certainly bigger. You make it seem like ford is getting 550hp on a 5.4L V8, when it takes GM 7.0L to get 500hp. Which technically is true but Ford needs a big ole blower on top of the 5.4L. Doesnt matter which way you choose to make power as long as its there.

Ok a GT has the Z06 in top speed, I guess that extra 100K gets you a whopping 15mph top speed. Whopdedoo that extra 15mph you will never ever see unless you are on a top speed testing track. Imo the Z06 is a MUCH better performance value than the GT. 92% of the performance at 40% of the cost.

That stretch of road is all too familiar... you keep heading west on the freeway and you would have been to my house in about 15 minutes. Both cars are badass, but that is some crazy **** to be going that fast through traffic.

Wow, how did I miss this one?

This reminds me of a few years ago when I had to rush my wife to Metro Airport on that same stretch of I-94 after being on I-96. Can't say I drove that fast though.

Hell, a few years ago there would have been a wipeout due to the potholes alone.
