Default TT v6 vs. T T/A (VIDEO!)

I made a post a while ago that i raced a turbo trans-am (my buddy) But i never posted the vid because it was un-edited and i dont like having my license plate all over the internet, expecually when im racing . .

Anyhoo.

Backround Story:

The trans-am is my friend nick's It is running on wastegate the whole time, he has a base dynotune but is schedualed to go in for further tuning, he is seeing 6-8psi durring this video. On this paticular day we were bored and both of our cars were not in tip top shape (he was having boost issues and i was having heat issues) But we went out and screwed arround anyhow.

The v6- Stock motor, Twin Turbo kit from Justin@VMPtuning.com running 8psi low and 15psi high. Stock t5 tranny, stock 7.5" with posi and 3.73's

The T/A- single 76mm turbo, H/C/I LS1 stroked to 383CI, built T56 tranny, stock 10bolt

1st run: from a roll in 3rd gear on the HW, me on low boost, i accidently spun to 7000rpms (scared the **** outa me)

2nd run: from aroll in 3rd gear on the HW,me on high boost.

3rd run: from a dig, me on high boost. We both get alittle nasty in 2nd gear, hey sometimes torque happends when you have a turbo

without further adue (sp?)

No the turbos are not wrapped yet. they just have those little dinky metal heat shield (i doubt they do ****) It is all coated However, the coating is over 2 years old i believe.

I am going back to justin when i get some 1/4 mile times under my belt, i wanna go run with my current setup on street tires, and on slicks. Then i will install my 1.8RR's and go to Justin for the retune. I think i am going to get a MSD 2step though, for launching on slicks.

Over x-mas break i want to pull the headers and the down pipe and get it all re-coated. While i do that im going to put underdrive pulelys on.

Maybe after that i'll get a cowl hood . . I'd love to have a 3.5" cowl CF/Glass hood

But i immagine he is going to be trapping 130+ or so when its all said and done so im not too upset
