Default New Bassani Exhaust Video

Here are some clips of my stang in action,I could not get too high on revs as I have intake leaking anitfreeze but I wanted to have a comparision to the the 4v when I do the engine swap. Just a refresher I have Flowmaster 2 chamber mufflers on stock pipes with a Bassani 2 1/2 catted xpipe. Let me know what you guys think about setup, wonder if sound will be different with the 4v. Since I dont have a catback wondering what I should do since current pipes are 2 1/4. There are 3 from the outside and 2 form inside the passenger side with window down.

how loud would an o/r bassani x pipe be? My mechanic said that would be a great mod but I think I might attract the wrong kind of attention (cops)...

I would be louder than what you heard on my stang since I have cats but it depends on what mufflers you have on now. If you dont slam on the gas but drive normal it is not that loud. I dont think a cop will pull you over if you are driving normal and you have a v8 with exhaust. Whats bothersome is the import guys that have the loud exhuast cans.

Best thing to do is go to mustangexhaust.com and see if someone has your setup.

Wow. Some of the off road X pipes sound SO loud. Do you think that cops will be able to tell that you have an o/r X pipe? I heard the fine for one of those in Cali was like 1500!

Yea in california, its basically illegal to touch the stock h pipe in any way unless you get it from the factory like that. I dunno for sure, but Im definately glad I live in SC where we have no inspection and the cops pull you over to see what exhaust combo you are running. Well, unless you are being a jackass of course...

A couple of years back we had inspections in FL but they removed it. How many cats does your Saleen have. My GT had 6, 3 on each side.

I think I have 2...one on each side. My car's exhaust is completely Saleen stock with a Saleen X pipe.

If you have just 2 cats 1 on each side I think its your mufflers that are keeping things quiet. Try to go to a Saleen owners site and see if they have switched to a louder borla exhaust. Remember Saleen is sold throught Ford so it can not be as loud as aftermarket exhausts. Just look under your car and behind the front wheels or grab a large mirror to stick under your car. Just dont mess with the original Saleen stuff make sure you get a bolt on kit and save the original parts. Your Saleen's worth is determined by the original parts on the car so make sure you can undo anything you modify to it.

there is a guy here with borla and an OR x pipe it's sounds normal (LITTLE LOUDER) at speed but it sounds pretty damn loud when you mash the loud pedal so as long as you aren't hammering it around cops you'll be just fine my friend

Well, I guess I will go with the SLP off road X pipe and if I feel that I may want it even louder I may just purchase the SLP loudmouth cat-back that way I don't have to make any modifications to my Saleen cat back and can switch it back whenever I need to.

Make sure you get the one that you can swap between cats and non cats so you at least have an option. MT sells it.

That I will...

I tried making my own video to post up here but it was about 200+ MB!!! Is there any way to lower your file size? I was making the vid from a MAC computer and just uploaded the footage from the camera and made about a 3-4 min video. The format is in .mov

I had the same issue since I used the best settings on my digital camera. What I did is convert to smaller size 150 x 124 original was 352 x 240 reduced it to about half. Try to cut the lenght as well or sparate them I noticed anything above 850kb or so will not load. Each vid is about 25 sec.

Yes, you are seeing things as it says GT on it. Since I had to reduce the size of video it looks like a pony. I got these gauges on ebay about 4 years ago. I have yet to see these again anywhere. What I like about these gauges is that they are reverse glow and have mutiple colors.

Hey BeatTheBrat94 might not be the same as venom’s gauges but you can customize these gauges any way you want at

www.speedhut.com

here is an extreme example of what you can do.

That speedhut site is really cool. I have played with that many times before. If you have not played with the site, I recomend checking it out. I never bought any, and I am just staying stock on the inside.
