v6 Sound/Video Request
Ok...i'm still undecided about my exhaust choice:dots:
...I know i'm going to get LT's.
Options still open are:
Midpipe (w/ 2 hi-flow cats):
1. H
2. X
3. Prochamber
Muffler:
1. Flowmaster (super40, delta40/50)
2. Magnaflow (Magnapacks)
3. Hooker Aerochamber
4. SLP LMII
If you have any opinions, but ESPECIALLY sound/video clips please post...

the flows or magnapacks/LM2 (basically same muffler)...those would sound pretty good i believe...

but i dont think i have seen a sixer with LT's, h pipe, and magnapacks...where i am headed

yea...and i heard somewhere that LT's make mags sound really bad for some reason? I don't know why they would, but I haven't ever heard LTs and Mags to be honest...
I'm thinking of just giving up on my sixer and keeping it stock...hopefully can trade it for a 2001-2003 GT...the more I think about it, the more I realize it's not worth it...I want a good sound and good performance...if I had a gt, I already know what exhaust setup to go with and what other 3 or 4 mods I would do and it would be DONE! But my sixer will cost a lot of money to get it where I want and it will still only be "mediocre" to me...I mean I listen to GT sound clips and I'm like "wow...that's sweet" and I listen to v6 clips that to most people are awesome and i'm like "well...that's not too bad..."
what do you guys think I should do? I'm torn b/c I want to mod my six badly, but I don't want to put $10k into it and still be unsatisfied...I think my biggest problem is the sound of the exhaust...if I can be satisfied w/ the way my sixer sounds then I wouldn't need a gt...

do what i am doing...do mods that can be transfered over to a GT when u get the money!
for example:
-wheels
-blackout tails
-H&R's on their way
-roush S3 soon
i mean i have decided not to go into the engine because i know i will want a V8 sooner or later...so i will make it looks badass and when i have the money for a V8 i can transfer the good lookin car over to the GT or what have you.
just a thought

well...i just found a 2003 GT at my local ford for the same price I payed for my 2004 v6...and it has a CAI, chin spoiler, grille delete, and some interior chrome done...:wallbash:
The only problem is that I'm not sure if my parents will be up to dealing w/ sales people again after having my car for 7 months. And I kinda feel bad about bringing it up b/c I was so excited when I first got my stang...now it's kind of set in that it may not have been what I wanted...i just think that would hurt their feelings...

It is sometimes depressing to feel the sluggishness of the v6 but man it's a nice car to own regardless of it's engine. Just try to have fun with it and not think about the 'could have done's and the what if's.
but for you question, I heard the MAC GT catbacks sound good in the V6's with the MAC H pipe. for the price of the h pipe and catback you'd still be spending less then the magnapacks. Just think about what you want to spend your money on and how much, there are a ton of options.

yea...you should've seen my old car haha...it was a 95 toyota avalon xls...which is a nice car, but it was a hand-me-down from my mom who knows nothing about cars and believes that you can just drive them and they take car of themselves. She almost never changed the oil and by the time I got it, the a/c didn't work 95% of the time, the engine was rebuilt TWICE, the radio didn't work, the leather seats were ripped, and one of the coil springs was broken...
but to be truthful I am VERY happy with my mustang. I know they worked hard to get it for me. Now it's true - I would rather have a gt or a cobra, but who wouldnt? I'm just going to keep this one and try to make it look nice and hopefully sound nice.
I heard greensteeda's LT's, o/r H, and Mac catback...sounds pretty good...I've heard ONE v6 w/ hooker aerochambers and it sounded really good but it had turbo...just wondering what it would sound like n/a...
so um....:helpsmili
EDIT: I was wrong...the stang had P&P, cam, and tuner...so I guess it might not sound bad on mine...just a bit quieter and smoother...

I don't think turbos make THAT much of a difference on your exhaust sound, seems like if anything it would give it a higher pitch.
But uh, 1 more pro about the v6 over a v8 if you're in school. Atleast when you wake up in the morning and turn the car on, there isn't a loud *** roar to give you a headache. I like quiet in the morning.

lol...i'm about to be a sophmore in college and where I go to school parking is scarce so most of the time unless you're leaving campus you're walking...but yea...i might look into hooker aerochambers...
and that car w/ them didn't have turbo, it had cams and P&P. LT's, x pipe, and aerochambers...
