no doubt he's pretty good but no way is he even close to the best in the world... i've been playing for 7 years and im sure if i sat down for a day or two i could play that song for you... hardest part is remembering the whole thing. also, i heard a couple mistakes by him. there are a lot more people than youd think that are capable of playing much more intricate songs than that and at a much faster pace. my buddy jp for example blows me away and i've been playing 2 years longer than him.

Alright, without starting a whole new thread, Who is, or Was the greatest guitar player/picker. My vote would be SRV. Or Jimmy Page in his prime, Hendrix? He was too messed up IMHO to reach his potential. Clapton? maybe.. I think Stevie Ray was the best at making music even when he was f-ked up. Maybe this should be a whole new thread..

That was really good. I can say I know better personally also, but the guy is pretty damn good.
Best ever, DEFINITELY Stevie Ray Vaughan. His brother isn't too bad either. I think the last ablum SRV ever recorded was Family Style, which of course was with his brother. Damn good CD actually.
