Default enhancing exhaust sound with mods?

As you add mods, like a CAI, nitrous, performance tune, anything....

does this help to make your car sound more powerful out of the pipes...or is it actually dependant upon how many cylinders you have?

long tube headers should change sound alot. People claim there cai adds sound i would find it very hard to believe you could tell the difference. A supercharger would change sound. A cam would change sound. Basicly anything that can help change the flow of air going in or out of the engine will help change sound.

I know they wistle but someone people claim they made the exhaust sound different and if it did it would be so little the human ear could not here it.

It's cam not cams, I love modular V8 guys . There is no need for a mid pipe, god I'm tired of saying that. Or headers there is no point unless he's pushing about 300 to the wheels.

Thats why i think im done with bolt-on's. I still might do the TB/plenum and under drive pullys, but i would rather go with what i KNOW i will feel. 4:10's and Nitrous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You'll love the 4.10's I know I do

It's not dumb. It's what ford's auto is called. Some call it an aode.

Before I put in my exhaust, when I was driving you could hear my car REALLY far with the CAI alone...that and when you hit the gas you hear the air coming in thats pretty cool sounding too...almost a bit like a BOV at times...

I'm telling you guys its all in your head. It's less restrictive yes, but it's not forcing more air into the engine like a supercharger. It just helps make cooler cleaner air, but the engine can only take in soo much that way.

loL yeah, and by letting more air in when you accelerate the engine sounds deeper...trust me man, alota people noticed it when I got it installed, not only is the engine non silenced, but it gets more air when it needs it, even at idle when you've been driving alot, you can hear the cam

In order to make your exhaust louder you have to have more air going through. So a supercharger, turbo or cam. Would do the trick. As you get more mods and your engine takes more air in more air will go out therefore making a louder exhaust or better tone.
