Default Doing my 8.8 swap soon!

http://lexington.craigslist.org/pts/1799823445.html

Found that. Has every single piece i need and all the parts are low mileage so my cars gonna be completely redone in the back end.

My reason for doing this swap is my warped axles. Advanced auto or auto zone cant find em anywhere, but i can get them at the dealer, however 200 dollars an axle is too much when you can get a 31 spline moser for much cheaper. But it only works with an 8.8.

Anyways, is that worth 500 dollars? Cause thats what hes wanting for it.

Will I have to make any modifications to make this 8.8 fit? I know the GT has a sway bar and like 2 more shocks. So there was like 2 more bolt holes, will those be there in my v6 just not being used? Thanks guys!

8.8 solid rear prices vary depending on location really. I found my 8.8 rear that just had 3.73 gears installed with a rebuilt posi for $400. I got it off a guy that was selling parts from a car build cause he needed the cash. Just keep out an eye for good deals.

No modification needed to swap this rear into a 6er. The quad shocks aren't necessary, I left them off when i installed mine due to clearance issues.

Do you know why the guy is selling it? Do you know if the axel is warped also I mean I would just make sure you aren't getting ripped off.

I'll check it out good when I get there. You can see my warped axle when the wheels are off and u spin it with your hand. So i'll take a good look at that there, and see exactly why he took it off in the first place.

And what do you mean clearance issues?

Clearance issues because of 10.5" wide wheels I'd imagine, lol. Quad shocks are ****** worthless anyway.

I paid $350 for my mach 1 rear, just look around for a few weeks, you'll find a good deal.
