Default 3.8 headache

i have a 2002 and im having a weird starting problem. It usually starts with no problems but lately has been doing nothing at all. everthing works when this happens all the lights radio etc. When i turn the key the doors lock and the car does nothing. the starter was replaced two days ago. It seems to do it more when the car is hot. there is an aftermarket alarm and im wondering if thats the problem. Any tips would be great im about to burn the darn thing.

Oh god, I just had a friend go through this with a shitty Honda. The Aftermarket alarm box failed and would not let the car start. I had to find the box and take it out and connect back all the wires in his wiring to where they went so it would run like stock.

**** aftermarket alarms. They suck *** unless you install them yourself, **** that noise.

i sort of thought about that but it really only does it when the car is hot. i was wondering if there was a stock heat shield that should be between the started and block. i mean its like an inch from the header and right on the damn block.
