Default H pipe adapter with MAC?

I'm still looking at exhuast for my 00' V6 and i found the adapter kit from americanmuscle.com.It says it will bolt up to any H pipe style catback. The catback i want is from MAC and it says it will bolt up to an H pipe (#TK7995) So will this work together? Anyone heard it before?

Get the H adapter and then any GT catback for whatever year car you have, and it will bolt right up to the adapter.

No because the v6 catbacks are for single exhaust. The adapter makes it so you can run any GT catback for whatever year car you have.

Here is the catch. When you buy the H-Pipe Adapter from American Muscle, you HAVE to buy a GT Catback Exhaust. In a sense, the adapter turns your exhaust into a GT exhaust. Hopefully that can help clear things up.

Exactly ^

stangkid1993, It will work it says it was designed to fit any V6 equipped with a H-pipe system. The AM h-pipe adaptor is made to the same specs as the 99-04 GT as far as outlet placement. Just get the Mac kit that was fit for a 99-04 GT and call it good - http://www.macperformance.com/store/...roduct_ID=1210

idk it would be nice tho, and pacesetter makes and O/R y pipe that goes on the headers that eliminates the cats, pretty nice

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, it is cheaper but I have heard several problems - plus the guy that I met a few weeks back that had the Magnaflow setup like I am wanting - told me he bought one of those and within a few months the welds at the crossover had to be re-welded do to failure and the connection flanges he said were junk and had to be replaced also. He said the guy at the muffler shop where he had the new setup put on said that those are junk and thats why he only sells the Pacesetter brand - the workmanship is so much better.

Although the ones we both have now are custom made for the same price. My setup has been on for a year and a half with no problems - other than my pickyness about the mufflers hence the muffler swap again!!

So for $20 bucks I would go with the one that is better and the one that has been used by more people.

Just my .02 cents though.

I just had a shop custom fabricate one, it only cost me 40 bucks. Of course, everything is cheap as hell in Oklahoma
