Default CAI/tuner

I've been doing a lot of research into this and still don't understand a few things.

1. Almost all of the CAI's out there look the same but some of them require tunes and others don't. I am going to tune it no matter what but I was wondering if the CAI's that require tunes are any better?

2. One of the main differences I've noticed is the material used on the engine bay heat shield, which material is better?

Or does it even matter?

Hey yeah he will need the tune since he has one of the new 6ers. I use a sct tuner and i love it. I got a C&L CAI and sct TUner from VMPtuning.com

If you dont do the tune they engine light will come on. Unless you get one of the ones that says it does not require a tune. I would get one that requires it but thats just me.

Cold air intakes are one of the easiest mods to do. That and a tuner are the simplest mods to install and give the biggest bang for the buck, besides nitrous of course.
