Default electric radiator fan question

2004 Mustangs come stock with electric radiator fans, right? do electric radiator fans take horsepower from the engine when they run?

I am just curious because the tune I got set the fan to run at cooler temps, so the fan runs more.

Yes it's an electric fan. It doesn't cause parasitic drag like A/C or power steering. You'll want it to come on at a lower temp. and turn off at a higher temp.

awesome! just the answer I was looking for, thanks. The tune was done by Justin at VMP, so I don't feel that there is anything to worry about then.

Yeah electrical fan is much better then mechanical as it does not take HP from the engine to run.
