omg, you got the magnaflow y exhaust??? biggest waste of money ever dude. i'm sorry, but you should've posted up that u were getting it because any V6 owner would tell you that it is a horrible idea. you gain no power at all with it, and i doubt that even with headers and a new manifold, you will not see any gains.

what you should've done is gotten a V6 dual exhaust adapter and regular GT cat-backs. with that set up the V6 sound very close to a stock GT exhaust, without being raspy.

as far as headers goes, you have stock shortie headers and a fullsized midpipe. the stock headers are not restrictive, so if you are hellbent on doing headers, get longtubes. you will need a new shorty exhaust to fit the long tubes. do yourself a favor and get a catted one. the V6's sound like **** witout catts. to find LT headers for a sixer you may have to go directly to the distributor like magnaflow or pypes.

good luck.

Should not cost much to do and will be much cheaper then selling it and getting a GT catback.

I'm getting my exhaust done tommorow at a reputable place that quoted me at between 140 and 250 depending on what I want. It won't be name brand but they stand behind their work.

Best possible exhaust for a sixxer would have to be a true dual setup. Two separate 2-2.5" pipes coming from the cats back to the mufflers. I don't think the H pipe really sounds or performs any differently and the air flow isn't hindered any more than the stock Y. When I had my sixxer I had that setup with Flowmaster 40's & 2.5" tips and they sounded pretty damn good IMHO.
