Default exhaust tip width

alright guys i bought a mach1 catback and am going to be putting it on sometime in the near future. at the moment i have a stock bumper, but if i ever find a good deal and have the cash at the time i'll probably upgrade to the gt bumper. if i install the catback on the v6 bumper, how far apart should i put the tips to accomodate the gt bumper later on?

Are you going to install it with out the tailpipes or tips because I don't think it will work with the stock bumper. My tips are about 1.5-1.75 inches lower than what the GTs would be. If and when I get the GT rear mine will have to be lifted.

Most exhaust set-ups should have brackets just before the tips where the pipes are mounted. It's just a matter of mounting the tail pipes. You shouldn't really have a say in how far apart the pipes are. If they mount up right, then they will fit with the GT bumper.
