17 X 8 rims tire width
I have 17X8 rims - Can anyone tell me what the widest tire I can safely run on an 8" rim is? I have read topics throughout the net, but need sound advice.

I'm running 275/40/17 BFG drag radials on mine with no problem, but even if a bigger tire fit, it would look like ***. My 275's have about the max amount of bulge that I can handle. IIRC, 275 is the absolute biggest you want to go to be safe.

i run 275 nittos drags out back, i agree anytihng bigger is ust a- ugly and b-probibly not the safest thing int he world.
