Default 2004 V6 3.9L Mustang new exhaust question

Does anyone agree that this is a good price to performance ratio for the exhaust system? >> http://www.americanmuscle.com/pypes-...0%5E1%5E359.99 Thanks for the help!

utter waste...its not a true dual so its pointless. Get a new mid pipe, h pipe or x pipe whichever you perfer and buy a dual exhaust. A lot better flow and better sound but it will never sound like a v8

no need for the double post but no its not at all. Get a new mid pipe and go true dual exhaust going dual from a y pipe is pointless minus the look of duals without the performance. Look here they have some good advice in the sticky https://mustangboards.com/v6-tech-fo...es-setups.html

All the reviews said it made it sound better than stock and that it added some HP. Also I'm teaming it with a new CAI. I'm just not sure I want to spend an extra $150 to make it a true dual exhaust. Would it be worth it? and yes, I did make an extra thread about this same thing by accident.

dont buy a CAI, remove silencer and get KN Cone Filter.. same thing as a CAI, exhaust for a v6... i dunno, duals wont give you much more hp.. ide just go for the sound

would this be a better pick for an exhaust system then? and would this be much more difficult to install on my car? >>> http://www.americanmuscle.com/pypes-...n-9604-v6.html.

Well I already bough the new CAI, but it was only $70 and all the reviews for it were good. This is the other exhaust I would consider buying >>> http://www.americanmuscle.com/pypes-...n-9604-v6.html.

Its a better setup that will make more power, but I am not a fan of X-pipes and on the V6 an X-pipe really makes no sense. I do not understand why they make kits with X-pipes for the v6 motor. I also don't get why AM.com sells almost no H-pipes anymore, that's weak.

You do not need 3 threads on the same subject. I have merged this thread with the other 2 you have made.

that dual exhaust is way better than wat you wanted to go first with and you will see a slight difference with those two mods... and you stang will sound much better

I've come to the conclusion that I would rather do true duals, and I've come up with these duals >> Pypes 409 Stainless Steel Violator Catback with Polished 304 Tips (98-04 GT/Mach 1) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!, but I don't know how or what H-pipe I can get to make these work. Is there anyway this mid pipe would work with my V6? >> Pypes 409 Stainless Steel Off-Road Shorty H-pipe (96-04 GT) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping! or would I have to go with the adapter kit >> V6 Dual Exhaust adapter kit at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

Would using the adpter kit and those duals be any better than this? >> http://www.americanmuscle.com/pypes-...t-9604-v6.html. Thanks for the help!

ok, I give up on Pypes then! lol, besides this system you showed me is cheaper. So I have decided to go with the H-pipe adapter kit and this catback >> http://www.ninosport.com/MAC-Cat-Bac...=2&category=99. It's basically the same catback you showed me except the V6 version. =D. Thanks for the help, you all really helped a lot in my decision, and I pretty learned everything I know about exhaust in the past two week of learning from you guys on here. sooooo, THANKS!

If you like the sound of the pypes setup do it. It's your car and you are the one who has to listen to it not them.

Yea that one will work after u install the dual adapter keep in mind though as ur looking around though that with the dual adapter installed ur not limited to a cat bAck designed for a 6 cyl u can also use a gt catback. Don't know if it will be better but just so u know. And yes if u want pypes get them if u have heard them with ur own ears and liked it.
