Default intake manifold

well im just basically wondering would getting the upper intake manifold and lower intake manifold from supersix motorsports do anything for my car. i know it would be alot better if got the power pack with heads and cams but i dont have that kinda money so i was just going to get them in peices when i can afford them. i was wondering if i got both upper and lower intakes would it do anything for my car and would i have a problem installing them without getting anything else on my car. all the other engine components are stock...

ya bolt-ons arent really gonna get u any hp

because ive gotten BBK 56mm Throttle Body, Aluminum Driveshaft, 1/2" Intake Manifold Spacer, 180 Degree Thermostat, SCT XCal 3 Tuner , Custom Port and Polish Upper Intake Manifold, BBK Underdrive Pulley Kit, Aftermarket Cold Air Intake, 3" Exhaust Tips, PYPES Stainless 2.5" True Dual Converter Back, w/o Cats, Pypes Street Pro Mufflers, Screamin Demon Ignition Coil, 10mm Livewire Spark Plug Wires

and i think ive only gained like 20hp from all of these, lol, but since im done with my bolt-ons the next thing for me is gears/tlok

but ya go with gears/tlok and then later get the heads/cam

dang thats a lot of money you spent there on all those... lol. yeah my goal is by christmas to get gears, tlok, this upper and lower intake if i feel like it would be worth it and get lowering springs. then be saving for heads. i still need more advice on this manifold upper and lower intake so if anyone else has an opinion let me know thanks.

split port intake swap will not affect your fuel efficiency. if i were you, i'd get the whole supersix power pack with the heads cam and intake.

It may give you a little but the problem is the intake and heads work as a team if you widen the intake but the heads aren't ported they still can't get any more air just like if you port the heads and not the intake you won't get the full benefit of the mod for it to really work well you would need intake heads and some exhuast work (which you already have) and maybe a TB but I don't know.

if the intake is ported to match a 56 mm TB then I would assume you would need that too but I could be wrong

That is really you best bet I would say

I would guess that you would see some minor gains from just doing the intake but it would be dissapointing for the price

I've read some reviews from people with the powerpacks and I can't remember anyone being upset on any of the other forums

I would save and get the whole package. You will not gain a whole lot with just a ported intake and stock heads and cam. It will be worth it to wait it out.
