It is only for use with the PI heads. it matches the intake runners on the new heads. so no its not worth the money cuz it doest work.

Actually, it can be made to work with the non pi heads. You just need some silicone or some adapter plates. Usally worth about 10 hp.

shut up, you don't know what you are talking about.

i have stock heads, PI intake and PI cams, and for as mod that doesn't work, I don't have LT headers yet and would still walk you any day of the week. Please don't try to give information on something you don't know about.

here is a dyno of an intake swap before/after:

i guess 15 rwhp is nothing

You can get 10 from working with your timing alone. Put synthetic in and there is the other 5. So who knows nothing?

my mods are 4.10's, DR's, off-road H, pullies and timing adjuster, and PI intake & PI cams. Lets see your timeslips, turd. This is the last time i went to the track, the block and heads are as they came from the factory with 116,000 miles

Maybe if you would listen innstead of thinking you know everything you could make it out of 14's too.

Once i have enough for headers and tune I will be into 12's on stock heads, yes, my car has no chip or dyno time, just trips down the 1320, where it matters. Or are you one of those mustang tools that talks a good game and doesn't run at the track because they are afraid to look bad or break something?

Pure stang, if you want to learn more about this, go to a real tech site that doesn't put up with this kind of stupidity, www.Modulardepot.com

Ok ladies, calm it down, theres no need for that. No sense in arguing over it, we are all here to learn.

And Joel, if you have a problem with our site, you are welcome to leave. Calm down, this is your warning.

never claimed to know everything, and i agree about learning, i think it's funny that the person getting chastized is the one that brought actual information to the discussion instead of the keyboard worrior. Again I agree, with you, people should learn by asking questions, and reading what people with expierience have done. The person who is acting like they know everything about intakes in this thread, is the same person who is asking for information about a headswapp in another, what sence does that make? I realize my first post could have been more tactful, that is my fault.

The stock PI intake will make a nice improvement on non pi heads as Joel showed in his dyno. The PI cams are a nice item also. I have never owned a non pi engine but if I did the whole PI intake, heads and cam swap would be one of the first things I'd do. Also don't be fooled by the non pi heads, if you have them ported they will outflow PI heads. The reason the PI swap is so poular is simply cost. You can get alot for a small amount with the swap. The non PI heads are limited only by the intake and cams.

absolutly right Most of the power is from the intake and cams, but the non-pi heads are very weak on the exhaust side, with a smaller valve 1.339" vs. 1.417" which is were most of the gains come from when the heads are worked over, the non-pi's are choking on the exhaust side.
